We’re on a quiet street in Redstone Grove, right in the middle of all the newer communities up here in the northeast. If your family is in Skyview Ranch, Cityscape, Cornerstone, Saddle Ridge, or anywhere around Redstone, chances are we’re only a few minutes from your door. People don’t always weigh distance when they pick a dayhome, but after fifteen years I can tell you it shapes your whole day.
Those few minutes add up
Picture a January morning. It’s dark, it’s freezing, the car hasn’t warmed up, and your three-year-old can’t find the other mitten. The last thing you need is a long drive across the city before your own workday has even started. When your dayhome is close to home, drop-off stops being a production. You’re there in a few minutes, your little one walks in to a face they know, and you still make your meeting. Pick-up works the same way, and if something ever comes up during the day, I’m not forty minutes across town.
A home, not a big building
There are some lovely centres in Calgary and they’re the right call for plenty of families. What I do is different on purpose. This is a real home on a real street, with a small group of children instead of a big room full of them. For a lot of little ones, especially the younger threes and the shy ones, that quieter setting is where they finally relax and come out of their shell. You’ll get to know me, I’ll get to know your child, and you’re not handing them to a rotating set of staff each week.

The northeast has changed so much in the last ten years. So many young families, so many people new to Calgary, so many homes where both parents work and everyone’s figuring it out as they go. Our days have room for all of that. We sing, we read, we mark little celebrations, and there’s a lot of warmth in between.
